Ms. Bhakta Ng is a dedicated therapist, educator, and clinical supervisor with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. She holds a Master’s degree in Family Counseling and Family Education from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from City University of Hong Kong.

Bhakta specializes in supporting children and adolescents with special educational needs (SEN) and has also worked extensively with adults on issues related to trauma, emotional distress, and personal growth. Since establishing her private practice in 2018, she has become known for her deep and effective work using Sandplay Therapy, helping clients of all ages access their inner world through symbolic imagery and non-verbal expression.

Now based in Okinawa, Japan, Bhakta continues her work both in-person and online. Surrounded by the natural elements of sand and sea, she draws inspiration from the landscape around her, allowing it to infuse her therapeutic presence. In recent years, she has expanded her clinical interests to include Trauma Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), integrating structured therapeutic tools with symbolic and image-based work.

Bhakta is currently deepening her practice through expressive therapeutic methods. She is studying both Landscape Montage Technique (LMT) and Mutual Scribble Story-Making (MSSM) under the direct guidance of Dr. Yasunari Yamanaka, with whom she has the privilege of learning in person. In addition, she incorporates collage work into her practice as a self-taught expressive tool, offering clients further ways to explore their inner landscape through creativity.

In addition to her clinical work, Bhakta is a passionate teacher and mentor. She has lectured and supervised students in Bachelor of Social Work, Master of Counseling, and Early Childhood Education programs at City University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University. Her integrative and heart-centered approach continues to inspire the next generation of helping professionals.

My Approaches & Training
"Accessing your self-awareness and inner strength for the first step to make your conscious choices in your future."

"The client is given the possibility, by means of figures and the arrangement of the sand in the area bounded by the sandbox, to set up a world corresponding to his or her inner state. In this manner, through free, creative play, unconscious processes are made visible in a three-dimensional form and a pictorial world comparable to the dream experience. Through a series of images that take shape in this way, the process of individuation described by C.G. Jung is stimulated and brought to fruition."

Dora Kalff

At Bhakta’s counseling, she provides a supportive space where you can work through personal challenges with a blend of sandplay and Jungian therapeutic approaches. Bhakta, a certified sandplay therapist, brings expertise in collage therapy, a method that helps clients explore and express emotions through imagery and creativity. Her work is deeply informed by Jungian principles, using symbolic representations to access the unconscious and uncover personal insights.

Together, we believe in the healing power of a secure therapeutic relationship. In this safe environment, you’ll be able to release repressed emotions, explore unconscious conflicts, and gain insight into patterns and unresolved wounds affecting your life. Whether you want to overcome emotional pain, understand your dreams, or improve relationships, we’re dedicated to guiding you toward self-awareness and healing.
